Our Year 11 students were delighted this morning, and for good reason. An incredible 33% of all GCSEs awarded were at grade 7 or above.  

Three quarters of students received a pass in both English and maths, with 54% achieving a strong pass of a grade 5 or above in these subjects. Historically, these results put students at Laurus Ryecroft well above national averages. 

There are a number of students who achieved a raft of grade 8s and 9s across the board, including Amy, who achieved straight 9s in her GCSEs today.

Year 9 linguists also received their Spanish GCSE results today, and we are thrilled that 32% achieved a grade 7 or above, with 66% achieving a grade 5 or above. We are especially proud of the thirteen students who achieved a grade 9.

These fantastic results are a testament to their dedication, as well as the teachers, support staff, parents and carers who went above and beyond to support them.”

Students receiving their GCSE results today are warmly invited to register for a place in Laurus Ryecroft Sixth Form. Our dedicated enrolment team will be available to welcome both internal and external applicants as follows:

  • Students from other schools can register for Sixth Form from 10.30am
  • Laurus Ryecroft students can register for Sixth Form from 8.30am
