Following the success of our partner sites, Club Cheadle Hulme, Club Laurus, Club Didsbury, Hazel Grove Sports Centre and Club Priestnall we are delighted to be offering sporting activities to suit the whole community in a warm and welcoming environment at Club Ryecroft, based in the grounds of Laurus Ryecroft.
In September 2025, we opened our indoor facilities and fantastic 3G football pitch to local community groups, rugby and football clubs. The pitch is home to the East Manchester Junior Football Leage and Ashton Pumas GFC.
The sports hall meets the recommended requirements for court sizes, run off spaces allowing coaching and flexibility of use and competitive club matches.

We’re committed to continuously improving the experience for women and girls both on and off the pitch at our facility; and ensuring the long-term growth of the women and girls’ game.
Here’s how our facility is demonstrating this:
- We’re giving women and girls teams priority access with at least (30%) of our peak-slots allocated to women and girls activity and at least one women and girls only evening. Teams are also being guaranteed long term bookings.
- We’re providing a range of competitive opportunities for women and girls:
- Affiliated team training and match play
- Social sessions for those new to the game or preferring more informal activity
- Opportunities for talent pathway activities and women’s football pyramid usage
- We want all women and girls to feel safe and welcome on their way to and from training or a game. Our facility and the surrounding areas will be well lit and our toilet, shower and sanitary provision will be fit for purpose. Every woman and girl should feel they belong at our club, so we’ll do all we can to make sure this is the case our site.
- Representation matters, so we’re making sure that women and girls have a voice across our committees and board, with designated women and girls’ leaders. In addition, a new steering group will meet on an annual basis to review the use of our facility.
