Social media can sometimes be a dangerous place for students. Posting messages and sharing content can cause friendship issues and fallouts. The nature of some posts can also be inappropriate.
Last week we had our local police officers into our assemblies delivering key messages on e-safety. Below are links to some social media e-safety guides. Most smartphones allow parents and carers to choose which apps and features appear on their child’s device and which ones don’t – also preventing students from downloading anything that’s unsuitable for their age.
We urge parents and carers to use these guides to discuss privacy and the appropriate use of social media with their child.
