Laurus Ryecroft Sixth Form proudly celebrates its first-ever cohort of Year 13 students, whose outstanding A Level results mark a historic moment for the school.
100% of students who planned to go on to Higher Education secured their place at university. Many students will be studying at the most prestigious Russell Group universities in the UK, including Imperial College London, Durham, York and Queen’s Belfast.
74% of students achieved at least one A*-B grade at A Level and the Sixth Form achieved an overall 98% Pass Rate.
Khadija (pictured below – right) has secured a place to read Medicine at the University of Manchester after seven years at Laurus Ryecroft.
Hope (pictured below) will read Biomolecular Engineering at Imperial College London, widely considered the best university in the UK for her course.
Some exceptional performances include Jack (pictured below), who achieved A*A*A and will be heading to Lancaster University to read History.
Alyssa achieved A*AA and will read Psychology at The University of Manchester.
Ethan (pictured below) achieved A*AA and secured a place to read Economics at The University of Manchester – a truly remarkable achievement given the major shoulder surgery he overcame during his studies.
Hadi (pictured below) joined Laurus Ryecroft in Year 13, and achieved exceptional results of AAB in just one academic year at the Sixth Form.
An impressive 50% of students will be studying at a Top 25 UK University and 40% of these are Russell Group providers. Students are moving far and wide, and will be studying across the length and breadth of the country, a testament to the unapologetically aspirational culture at the Sixth Form and the confidence instilled in our student community.
Our Year 12 AS Core Maths students have also excelled with an impressive 71% A*-B and a perfect 100% A*-C, reflecting the hard work and dedication of both students and staff.
Congratulations to friends Lydia, Sophie and Natalie (pictured below), for securing the highest grade possible in this qualification; a true testament to how collaborative study can deliver incredible outcomes.
Stephanie Bridge, Director of Sixth Form, said:
“We are incredibly proud of our inaugural cohort. These results are not only a reward for the resilience and dedication of our students but also a reflection of the vision we set when opening the Sixth Form. From university offers to future-ready careers, our students are living proof of what’s possible at Laurus Ryecroft. It’s a real moment of celebration.”
Reece Carling, Head of School, commented:
“This historic milestone is a testament to the culture of high expectations and academic ambition that defines our community. Our students have not only achieved incredible results but have also grown into articulate, confident young adults ready to take their next steps. We could not be prouder.”
