The week beginning 3rd November is officially ‘Green Careers Week’, and students have been learning in their Geography lessons about the opportunities available to them in green-sector industries and jobs.

Year 7 students also benefited from having a guest speaker in their assembly. Andrew, a farmer from Edale in Derbyshire, spoke to them about life as a farmer, the opportunities and challenges within the farming industry, and how farming is helping to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions in the fight against climate change.

This talk was a valuable experience for our Year 7s and no doubt gave them plenty of food for thought as they develop their Life After Laurus thinking!
