It is Safer Internet Day today (Feb 8) and this week Mr Davidson will be joined by our Computing Ambassadors in assembly to highlight the importance of staying safe online. Our Computing Ambassadors will then be available in the library from 8-8:20 on Thursday and Friday morning along with Mr Staniforth to support students with checking their social media privacy settings.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a hundred countries in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. This year the theme of Safer Internet Day is ‘All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online’.
